TMI Jobs in People & Talent
December 6, 2024 - Roles at Enterpret, Primary VC, Eight Sleep and more..
Hi there!
So, I’m definitely starting to see the slow-down before the holiday break. I think I’ll do one more update next week, then take off the rest of the year, as I expect that there won’t be too much movement happening on the market.
For now, onto the the most interesting roles…
The Americas
(First!) Head of People Ops at Enterpret in the New York, NY.
Series A platform using AI and NLP to capture, categorize, and interpret customer feedback. You’ll be the first people/talent hire, building out the entire function from scratch. Exciting! Apply here.
TMI Factors: First-In, Early Stage, Valuable Use Case/Space, Fresh Funding (Series A of $20.8M this month), Solid Backers (Kleiner Perkins, Unusual Ventures, Peak XC [formerly part of Sequoia])
Recruiting Manager at Descript in San Francisco, CA.
Series C platform that transcribes audio from videos, and using that text you can edit the videos themselves - along with a suite of other products to help make video editing simple using AI. This role would oversee all of recruiting (including managing a team of three), and report into the VP of People. Apply here.
TMI Factors: Oversee all of TA, Big Addressable Market + First Mover Advantage, Impressive Backers (a16z, OpenAI, Redpoint)
Talent Analyst at Primary Ventures in New York, NY.
Early-stage VC with an already-established talent team, but looking for an additional Talent Analyst to be an embedded recruiter with various Primary portfolio companies. I’ve always admired Primary’s dedication to training up young talent, and I think it’s a fantastic place to be for someone early in their recruiting career :) Apply here.
TMI Factors: VC!, Great Learning Opportunity, Great Early-Stage Fund
(First!) Senior Recruiter at AuthZed in the USA (remote).
Series A open-source authorization platform. The company is entirely remote and across the US and Europe, and you’d be joining as their first-ever recruiter :) Apply here.
TMI Factors: First-in!, Early Stage, Open Source Space, Impressive Backers (YC, Amplify, General Catalyst, Work-Bench)
Director of People Operations at Academia.edu in San Francisco, CA.
Series D platform for academics to share research papers, with the mission of accelerating innovation in science. I think this is very cool, and I love their story (you can read it here). This role would report into the Head of People, and would oversee HR and Workplace. Sounds like a humble, smart, mission-oriented group of folks :) Apply here.
TMI Factors: Great Mission, Humble Story, Large Following, Solid Backers (True, Tencent, Spark, Khosla)
Head of Performance (People/Talent) at Eight Sleep in New York, NY.
Series C sleep fitness company. What does that mean? Well, basically they make very fancy, high-tech mattresses (with an app that helps track and control it, of course). The technology is meant to drastically improve sleep for a cool $4.5k. Not exactly accessible, but I can imagine this being a dream job for someone (note: read the JD section about their culture before you apply - it’s intense). This role would oversee all people/talent globally, reporting into the CEO. Apply here.
TMI Factors: Interesting Space, High Conviction Culture, Global Team + Global Role, Impressive Backers (YC, Founders Fund, Khosla, General Catalyst).
EMEA/APAC
Talent Management Lead at Aspire in the UK/London (hybrid).
Series C financial management platform for small/medium sized businesses. Aspire is based in Singapore and initially focused on the SE Asia market, and they’ve recently opened an office in London. This role would have global oversight, overseeing all talent management and L&D initiatives. Apply here.
TMI Factors: Interesting + Global Scope, First People Person in the UK Office, Impressive Backers (YC, Lightspeed, Sequoia, Hummingbird 😉)
Have a great weekend, everyone!
I know the season is slow but for those of us that aren't working and ready to find their next position, we really appreciate your posts! Thank you!!!
